It's you're vacation, take charge, seize the day! Why not try your hand at surfing? Or maybe a game of beach Volleyball ride into the danger zone!!!!

Jio had decided that he could afford to not try and work for one day and cool off instead, so have a half-black-half-white-haired kid in black trunks wandering down towards the water. This looked like it could be relaxing...except that a certain someone was following along behind him.

"Hell're you doin' here again?"

The Strabimon following him in a pair of silver board shorts printed with black tropical flowers outlined in purple (yes, they're as ugly-looking as they sound) didn't bother to look at his unwanted partner when he replied.

"Cuz I felt like goin' to the fuckin' beach. Ain't my damn problem y'ended up comin' too."

"Why're ya followin' me then?"

"Like hell I'm followin' ya! I'm jus' walkin' in the same direction as ya!"

"Well walk in the same direction somewhere else!"

"I'll walk wherever the fuck I want. Looks like yer in luck though, I'm walkin' over there now."

"Good!"

"Don't expect me to come runnin' when ya drown yer ass!"

"Nu! Like hell I'd drown!"

"Hope ya do!"

"I hope you do too!"

After that loud exchange they very pointedly parted ways, Jio's annoyance at Strabimon gradually giving way to a child-like excitement as he approached the water. Despite having spent a lot of time in Axoryi working, he hadn't actually gone swimming there yet.

Yu was enjoying her time off from being Batgirl. Normally she would be sleeping right now but her Aunt Jinx and beloved Cousin wanted to come to the beach.

As it stood right now she was on her way to meet with them and had a double decker ice cream in hand. It was starting out as a perfect day.

Still not everyone looked so happy. And having been raised to stick her nose in other people's business she couldn't ignore Jio's said face.

"Hey kid what's wrong?"

"Nothing!" Jio answered reflexively, then mentally kicked himself.

"My partner's just bein' an asshole like usual. He hates Tamers, so I dunno why he'd wanna come to a beach full of 'em."

Yu frowned and looked around thoughtfully as if she could pick the Digimon out in a crowd.

"Why does he hate Tamers?" She pressed curiously.

She might notice Strabimon's hideous board shorts, but there wouldn't be any way to know who she was looking for. He's not the only one with bad taste in swimwear on this beach.

Jio crossed his arms.

"I've got no idea. He hardly says anythin' to me except to insult me. Fortunately I don't hafta see him much. Just when he decides to stay at my place because it's cold or raining wherever he usually stays."

"Well that's no good." Yu shook her head to make the point. "The whole reason we're here is to form bonds with our partner. My partner and I respect each others space but when things get ugly I know I can count on him."

She put a finger to her chin in thought. "Maybe if we got another Digimon to talk to him, have you tried that yet?"
