(no subject)

Who: Ponyo [Open to all, hostiles and friends]
What: With her two most special people gone...Ponyo's running away.
When: April 14th
Where: Axoryi

She had done her best when Sosuke had left...but with Lisa gone too there was no one left from her world.

She had left the ocean to live with them, but if they didn't want to live with her then she was going to return to the sea.

Unfortunately she'd gotten all the way to the beach before she broke down crying. Big crocodile tears. She sniffled as her nose stuffed up and plopped down in the sand inches from where the water licked the shore.

There was a deep rumbling from the ocean and the water began to get choppy and dark as if to mirror the girls mood.

It was her first experience with heartbreak. As far as she was concerned the world was empty.

There was a spiky haired boy out on the beach today, gathering up sea shells to make something with when he spots the sad little girl. He blinked at first but quickly ran towards her. The poor thing was just sobbing like that, all alone on the beach. It almost reminded him of something but he couldn't quite remember.

"Hey! Are you alright, little girl?"

Ponyo almost didn't hear him over her crying. With a rather undignified sniffle of her now runny nose she shook her head sharply to indicate that no, no in fact she wasn't.

The waves rose higher and once they hit the beach the water surged further up the sand almost like it was reaching for her.

"Whoa!" Sora reached out and grabbed the girl and feel back on his rear, distancing them a bit from the water at least. "Hey now. You don't want to go get swept out to sea, do you?"

Ponyo didn't resist as he dragged her backward. "Y-yeah...maybe! Everyone's left me anyway!" She sobbed sullenly her body growing rounder and shrinking a little, her hair thinning out lightly.

"Huh? Come on. You don't mean that. They haven't left you." Sora turned Ponyo around so he could look at her face. He reached up and brushed the tears from her eyes. He noticed the change but it didn't bother him.

"Are they important to you?"

She sniffled a bit of snot from one of her nostrils and stared up at him with her big watery eyes. "Y-yes. I love Sousuke but he left me! Then Lisa left me." She protested her voice trembling with heartbreak.

Sora just smild at the girl and shook his head. "If they're important to you then they never left you. They're still here," He reached out and softly pokes her chest, "Right here. They're still in your heart. No matter how far away they go; they'll always be with you."

Ponyo looked unsure and put her tiny hands, which were more like soft talons at the moment over her chest where he'd poked her. It was the same place that felt are warm when Sousuke was around, or all fluttery and excited when she was going to play with him.

And it was the place that hurt the most right now. The waves continued choppy and ominous but kept their distance as more tears trailed down her cheeks.

"But I still miss them." She mumbled almost ashamed of herself for it.

Sora kept the smile on his face as he watched the poor girl. She must really have been missing her two friends. And one of them she even loved. The brunette nodded when she spoke again, just barely able to hear it over the waves.

"I know. And I'm sure they miss you too. But you have to be strong, okay? If you run away, what if they come back? Won't they be scared and sad that you left before they could find you again?"

An adorable little hiccup and a reluctant nod. Sousuke had gotten so worried when she had gotten tired and small again. And he tried so hard to keep her safe.

And Lisa, Lisa would be upset too. Just like when Sousuke had left.

She sat down hard in the sand and the tears continued to stream down her face, but for the time being her resolve to run to the sea was gone.

But other then the hurt in her chest she didn't know what to do now.

"Listen, okay?" Sora smiled and reached out, petting the girl for a bit. "I know it hurts but you'll find them someday. And when they get back you'll get to hug them and tell them all the fun things you did while they were away, alright? Then you can all have a party. Doesn't that sound like something fun to look forward to?"

She made some unladylike sniffling noises and nodded weakly "W-with ice cream?" Because Sousuke liked ice cream and so did Lisa. She remembered the first time she ever had ice cream with them. She couldn't stop giggling and that made them giggle.

Sora nodded and gave her head a pat. "With all the ice cream all of you could ever eat."

She let out a fresh burst of hiccuping sobs and buried her face in his shirt desperate to hold onto that dream he had painted for her. Could it really happen? Would she find them again or would they run away again?

No, she had to try!

Sora just hugged her and rubbed her back. "And until they get back, I'll be your friend too, okay? That way you don't have to be all alone. I'm Sora."

She hiccuped and looked up at him with big watery eyes, her form starting to take shape again into a more human looking creature.

"I'm Ponyo." She whimpered but her steam had run out. "I'm a little girl." She added as though this wasn't entirely clear.

Sora laughed at the last part. It was a happy and joyful laugh. "I kind of noticed." He said once his laughter finally died down. "Nice to meet you Ponyo."
