Who: Zelgadis, Amelia
What: We need to talk
When: April 19th
Where: D'Ango Forest
Zelgadis didn't need to be a genius to know there was something going on with Amelia. The two of them had been close for a while now, and even when you took this business about different worlds into account, Amelia was Amelia. She was awkward around him last they met, and Zelgadis needed to know why.
So he'd taken a page out of Lina's playbook.
He'd sent Amelia a message saying he was injured in D'Ango Forest, and given her his coordinates. He wasn't hurt of course, and he felt awful doing this, but he knew they had to talk, and just flat out asking her wasn't going to work.
Impmon hadn't come along. He said something about the failure of Zelgadis's people skills and gone off on his own business.

"Mister Zelgadis?! Hey, where are you?"
She was in the area with Coronamon, and was looking around frantically for him.

Zelgadis wasn't that far away. He stood up, with his arms crossed, waiting for her to catch sight of him.

... and she realized that he wasn't hurt at all. She frowned.
"Mister Zelgadis! You lied to me?! That's just so-- augh! Incredibly unjust! Why would you do that?!"

It was more that she didn't know how to approach anything anymore with him. He had been here once before, and yet, he didn't remember a thing from that time. She didn't know what she could say and what she couldn't.
Not to mention, back then, she had told him how she felt ... albeit accidentally. That was what hurt the most, actually.

"Can you give us some time to ourselves?" he asked the Flame digimon.
no subject
... she should have known he would notice. She wasn't exactly herself around him the last time they met.

"... Look," he said. "Obviously... something happened with the previous version of me that was here. I do know about him Amelia... I can put two and two together..."
He walked over and put a hand on her shoulder.
"But remember what happened before we went to find Lina last time. Your father asked me to look after you. Whatever might have happened... and I think I can guess... doesn't change that, or how I see the bond between us."
Then he smiled.
"You're an important person to me, Amelia. Don't forget that, okay?"
no subject
"Nothing ... really happened. He just knew something that I don't know if you know. Nothing really came of it."
She was hopeful, but part of her was also convinced that nothing might ever come of it.

"Amelia... you know I've always felt... I don't deserve to be happy, the way I look. But you always looked past that..."
Deep breath. "So don't worry... and... if it makes you feel better..."
A brief pause.
"I do know what you mean... and... if anything might come of it... I'd like to try and see if it'd work out..."

No, this felt real. Within moments, a smile spread across her face and she nodded.
"I-If you really want to try it, Mister Zelgadis, I'll do my best to make you happy! All right?"

"It'll be kind of hard to get used to ..."

In true Amelia fashion, she pointed dramatically in a direction.
... the direction in question was the exact opposite of the direction Coronamon had gone in. Upon realizing this, she adjusted her point to the right direction.
"Onward!"
