Who: Katherine Simmons, Kimihiro Watanuki, possibly partners
What: Magical interview/Assessment
When: April 20th, early evening
Where: Neon City, M.A.G.I. Offices
Katherine was waiting for Watanuki in MAGI's lobby. The fact that everything had been repaired after Chaosmon's attack had been a great relief to her, the rituals that went into creating this place would have taken months to reset. Outside especially, the large tree kept watered by everburning flames and nevermelting ice was swaying in a gentle evening breeze.
All in all, the site was one of serene peace, and she hoped that Watanuki would find it welcoming.

He spotted Katherine in the lobby and waved as he walked over to her. It was a little intimating. Walking into a school for learning magic when he was pretty sure he didn't have more than a drop of magic in him.

She held out her hand in greeting to him.

The lobby was brightly lit, but awfully spartan. There was a podium-desk for a receptionist, and naturally, chairs and tables for guests. Everything was colored the same bright shade of white, which spoke volumes towards the ability of MAGI's janitors. But aside from that, and the double doors behind the receptionist's desk, there was very little special about the lobby itself.
"If you'll come with me, the lobby is a terrible place for interviews," she told him.

She turned towards the doors, hovering an inch off the floor, and she smiled back at him. "If I make you uncomfortable, you need only say so. You can leave at any time you want. I'm not here to recruit you or anything," she reassured him.

Truthfully, he didn't think Katherine could be as bad as Yuuko when it came to the strange and unnatural, so in all honesty, anything this woman could throw at him couldn't be too bad, right? After all, there were few things as bad as Yuuko's demands and 'jobs'. Working for that witch had probably shaved off a couple years of his life after everything that had happened. But...he didn't completely hate the experience.

The hallway on the other side was a stark contrast to the lobby; the walls were beige with wood paneling, and the floor had a lush red carpet-path over hardwood flooring. Doors and windows lined the hallway, revealing several offices and classrooms, and wall sconces lit the way with soft light.
"What do you want, though?" Kat asked as she led him to her office.

"Me? Um...I guess it would be nice to be able to protect myself." He said with a shrug. So long as Maru was with him he wasn't completely helpless.

She reached behind her, drawing a thin booklet off of one of the shelves behind her. "As I was saying, the ability to protect yourself is kinda wide-reaching. We have an extensive evocation curriculum, for example, but I'm not sure that's what you're looking for. For all I know, you could just want to create forcefields, or see trouble coming from a mile away," she said. "With your second sight, whichever form it may be, I suspect the more abstract methods of magic will be to your suiting."
