The song played lowly over the speakers, since there was still a good hour before Ritsu and Kazma had any live music scheduled. It had been a fairly slow night, considering. But Hatter liked it better that way. He could watch the customers better. Not that he expected anything out of the ordinary to happen. He was just used to watching his back, and his front for that matter. And large groups of rambunctious, slightly drunk customers would always put him a little on edge.

"Maybe, maybe not. Its really a coin toss at this point. But if it stays slow there is less chance of a fight, or someone proving they've had a bit too much to drink by losing their lunch all over the bar."

"Yeah, it's always nice when those don't happen." Especially since he was the one who had to clean those messes up. "It's kinda nice to have a slow night now and then."

Hatter continued to wipe down the bar, even though it was already spotless. "Though, there's always the might chance that someone comes in lookin' for trouble. Alice says if you're not lookin' for trouble then its less likely to find you. But I'm not sure that's always true. And it gets boring here if nothin' interesting happens."

"I don't know why some people do that. I can deal with boring. It's better than interesting and someone getting hurt."
