Who: Folks in this thread, Virus Busters, Dark Area citizens, others
What: Rescuing Dark Area citizens from the hands of the Virus Busters.
When: A few days after Ivan's post here. Let us say around June 10th. Regardless, backdated.
Where: Dark Area, near its border to the Poyi Mountains
Lightly occupied was something of a relative term, really. For those approaching the occupied villages, they would find them pretty well fortified and surrounded by Virus Buster forces. Among them were, as would be expected, many knight-like Digimon in their numbers, as well as various sorts of assorted holy types.
Their security was strong.
Their formations were tight.
More than anything else, though...
They knew to expect company.

"GURREN LAGANN! SPIN UP!"
Power flashed from the Gunman's eyes, and a moment later it burst into the sky towards the shots fired by the Rapidmon. It moved fast, Simon re-adjusting to the feeling of piloting this machine pretty much on the fly. It had been four years, and yet it felt as natural to him as anything else in the world. He gave a wild grin as Digi-Soul surged from his body and through the machine, exploding out of its hands as it gripped the sunglasses on its face and the wings on its back.
"Like hell I'm gonna let you even touch that ship! EAT THIS! DOUBLE BOOMERANG...!"
Red Digi-Soul surging across the wings and sunglasses, Simon ripped both of them off Gurren Lagann's body and threw them forward.
"SPIRAL!"
While this left Gurren Lagann, for a moment, propelled only by its forward motion in the air, the spinning cutters surged out to cut down several of the incoming missiles.
GranDigmon, meanwhile, gave a scoff of indignation as he continued to be pushed back by the Kentarumon's blasts. Like he was going to be outdone by some machine...
"GIANT CRACK!" he roared, suddenly surging his body forward and ramming the drills on his arms and face into the ground. A large crack shot forward along the ground, towards the charging Rhinomon... only unlike Digmon's Big Crack, something ELSE happened as pillars of earth erupted from the ground along the way.
