[Dark Area Village Liberation]
Who: Folks in this thread, Virus Busters, Dark Area citizens, others
What: Rescuing Dark Area citizens from the hands of the Virus Busters.
When: A few days after Ivan's post here. Let us say around June 10th. Regardless, backdated.
Where: Dark Area, near its border to the Poyi Mountains
Lightly occupied was something of a relative term, really. For those approaching the occupied villages, they would find them pretty well fortified and surrounded by Virus Buster forces. Among them were, as would be expected, many knight-like Digimon in their numbers, as well as various sorts of assorted holy types.
Their security was strong.
Their formations were tight.
More than anything else, though...
They knew to expect company.

[ROUND 2 - STOP!]
Which left him wide open for all the attacks leveled against him, which quite frankly, sent him plummeting from the sky.
Meanwhile, the sudden appearance of an Ultimate had stunned the soldiers, and along with the other attacks, the Critical Arm's shockwave sent a number of the Virus Busters flying, a few of them directly in its path being reduced to Digi-Eggs.
Others, further away from the impact, fared better. They could see their targets now, and opened fire directly on Sonic, Hoshi, Pidonus, Ranamon, Katherine, Cyclonis, and Wizardmon. As for Ioder...
... a Centarumon galloped directly in front of him, attempting to sieze the would-be emperor by his arm and then slam his hooves into the blonde's gut.
[ROUND 3 - GO!]
Re: [ROUND 3 - GO!]
"Speed of Light!" She launched a red beam from her hand to the digimon and hit him. He roared as he was empowered by his Master's magic and began to move faster than the eye could see. He began launching Thunder Clouds at his enemies as he zoomed around; dodging their attacks.

Then, in a flash of brilliance, she redirected the path of the shots towards their assailants and looked at them with a smirk and a challenging look in her eyes.
As for Tailmon, she was faring just as well as her tamer. She had inflicted a Cat's Eye Hypnotism and moved the strings to make her own targets start to attack themselves instead of directing their focus on to her.
Not to be left out, Hoshi had called forth the destructive power that the Spirit of Fire had to launch salvos of magma at their attackers, it easily reaching beyond 1200 degrees Celsius.

With her targets being both out of melee and being Digimon, she wasn't able to do a lot more than draw fire. On the other hand...
"Aqua Needle!", Ranamon shouted, stepping into a spot where she could see a few Centaurmon, and firing a wave of bolts of water upon them - then quickly ducking back to cover.
How she wished she and Pidonus had synchronized enough that she could evolve further than this... But for now, this would have to do. Hopefully it would be enough.
Re: [ROUND 3 - GO!]
Ranamon's rain storm had made her first illusion that much more real. Circumstances made for more believable illusions from here. Even under fire, Katherine knew the value of maintaining her illusions. Her first illusion, the torrential rain, could be left to its own devices now. The attacking Virus Busters needed to be thwarted from drawing a bead on any of them.
While shots fell around her, she started conjuring the illusion of a thick, gloomy fog over the village. Her teammates and their partners would be the only ones protected from the illusion.
Arrows flying by the Sagittarimon kept falling closer, and one slammed into the Impervium plate on her shoulder. It was enough to throw her off balance, but her Vanguard-issue armor was resillient enough to keep the arrow from penetrating. Still, it was a decent reminder that she had to prevent the enemy from getting any more accurate shots off.
The fog was a good start, but what she really needed was to lock them down. "I'm neutralizing their perception and their mobility," she said into her headset, her voice coming through as robotic. "But I can't actually hurt them, and Silphymon won't stay down forever."
She started casting another spell on the minds of the Sagittarimon, ignoring the pain if the impact in her shoulder. The mud that the rain was creating would serve to lend some credence to the thought she implanted in their mind, that the ground was turning to a thick mire of quicksand that would be all but impossible to escape from.

Ioder went down hard with the strike to his stomach, and he could even taste blood at the back of his throat. It nearly made him gag, but he was able to force it back, trying hard to ignore just how badly that had hurt.
"Ioder!" Pawnchessmon cried out, rushing to his partner's side. Ioder was getting to his feet by the time Pawnchessmon reached him, though it was clear how hurt he was already, arm across his stomach.
"N-no... go... some one has to get the prisoners out..."

Re: [ROUND 3 - GO!]
The rescue team had an opening now, with the opposition being reduced to haphazard and compromised attacks, all of which flew with poor aim and power.
However... one of the rescue team's own wasn't as lucky as his comrades... this Centarumon, lucky to have caught one of the prey himself, grinned beneath his mask and aimed his arm cannon, intent on taking out the injured emperor...
[ROUND 4 - GO!]
Re: [ROUND 4 - GO!]
Justimon, meanwhile, kept his focus on the army. "You guys get in there and I'll hold these guys off!" he cried. "I'm the strongest one here... you guys focus on getting those prisoners out!"

Her arms dropped down and her head went with her, the winds changing direction just ever so suddenly before her eyes glowed and her furyoku spiked up. This was her Sacred Trinity move and she was more than willing to use it to its' fullest potential. She ran through the mud and dirt to aim a Solar Rush at the Centarumon and add in a few blows to any of the other scattered soldiers.
The way she was moving was reminiscent of an aged fighter with years and years of experience and she intended to utilize this experience efficiently.
Tailmon saw that her Cats' Eye was working and smirked, continuing her work while filing her nails idly. They were so easy and stupid to manipulate that it almost bored her to tears.
Re: [ROUND 4 - GO!]
"Move towards the holding cells and destroy those locks! I will cover you!" Nightcrawler nodded and took off running for the doors. Cyclonis began to use her telekinesis to pick up and toss any digimon in her partner's way towards the first holding cell.
Re: [ROUND 4 - GO!]
No way was she letting someone she could save die - that was what she had sworn when she started this, and so she was moving accordingly.
